Season's Greetings:
What does Prospect Park Do in Winter?
What happens to plants and animals as they adjust to the changing season? The Park
Rangers will show us what trees are doing as winter nears, and explain where the
insects and turtles have gone. Which different kinds of birds are we seeing as
temperatures fall? What's actually going on underground, and underwater? How do
flora and fauna prepare differently? What did the 19th century architects intend
people to do in Prospect Park in Winter? You'll have a chance to ask your own fall and
winter questions, too, as we explore the Park in a fresh, autumnally-detailed way.
This tour will last approx 90 minutes.
