Witty, insightful, and poignant, Wendy Wasserstein’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning comedy
finds the laugh-out-loud humor in Heidi Holland’s coming of age during the Nixon and Reagan eras.
Wasserstein made history as the first woman to win the Tony Award for Best Play as a solo
playwright for this work. Heidi’s struggles alongside her fellow feminists and great guy friends
speak to today’s youth and resonate powerfully with contemporary audiences. A timeless story told
with enduring humor–because some struggles never go out of style.
You must register for each session you plan to attend to
receive the address of the meeting.
Registrations do not carry over.
The play reading group is an ongoing, once a month group, which will meet in person at the house of one of our group members, or in a library room, if no one volunteers their home space. Participants will volunteer to read character roles of the plays. This group is for theater lovers as well as people who want to try something new and learn about great plays. Discussion of play is to follow reading of the play.
I recommend attendees print out a two-sided copy of the .pdf in order to avoid technology issues at the meeting.

Group is to meet the first Tuesday (except if its a holiday) of each month from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Bringing snacks is welcome.
